Install
- 1Go to Settings → Extension and click Add to Chrome (it is also on the Chrome Web Store as "PinMarks for Chrome").
- 2That is it. The extension signs in with your PinMarks account automatically. It works in Chrome 116 and newer.
Each reporter installs the extension themselves. Without it the widget still works, using server-side screenshots.
What it does
- Fast, pixel-perfect screenshots straight from the browser, including Entire page capture by scroll-and-stitch.
- Capture from any website: click the toolbar icon on any page and the widget opens with your newest project selected, no install snippet needed. Switch projects from the widget's menu.
- Less friction: when the extension is detected, the "Enable instant screenshots" prompt is hidden.
Show the widget on your site
In Project → Widget → Installation → Browser extension, turn on Inject widget on my website and list your domains. The extension then mounts the widget on those sites for team members, without any script on the page. Handy for reviewing a site you cannot edit.
Questions
Clicking the icon opens the login page
You are not signed in. Sign in to PinMarks in the same browser, then click the icon again.
It opens a "no access" page
Your account has no projects yet. Ask a teammate to invite you, or create a project.
The site already has the PinMarks snippet
The extension opens that site's own project instead of switching to your newest one.
Which browsers does it support?
Chrome 116 or newer. The widget itself works without the extension in other browsers, using server-side screenshots.
