WordPress plugin

Install the PinMarks plugin, connect your project in one click and control who sees the button.

Updated October 2026

The PinMarks plugin adds the feedback button to your WordPress site without touching your theme. It needs WordPress 5.8+ and PHP 7.4+.

Install and connect

  1. 1In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New, search for PinMarks, then Install and Activate.
  2. 2Open Settings → PinMarks and click Connect with PinMarks. A popup opens where you sign in and pick or create a project, no keys to copy.
  3. 3Prefer manual? Paste your project key from Settings → Widget → Installation instead.
  4. 4Visit your site. The feedback button appears.

Visibility rules

  • Show the button to everyone, to logged-in users, or to specific roles.
  • Limit it by post type, post status or URL (wildcards supported).
  • Show it only on staging or development sites.

WordPress features

  • Logged-in users are identified automatically, so they are not asked for name and email.
  • WordPress details with every report: WordPress and PHP version, theme, active plugins, page builder, an edit link and WooCommerce cart context. This needs custom metadata, which is on the Agency plan.
  • Admin bar menu to report an issue or switch the widget on and off.
  • Shortcode and block: [pinmarks_button label="Report an issue"] or the "PinMarks report button" block.

To load the widget only after consent, return false from the pinmarks_should_load filter until consent is given. In caching or optimisation plugins, exclude app.pinmarks.io/widget.js from minification, combining and delay.
